High school with a touch of college.
The Gatton Academy is not your typical high school. Instead of attending your home high school for your junior and senior year you will attend college at the Carol Martin Gatton Academy of Mathematics and Science. Something you should know is you will finish high school but with 60 hours of collage credit. Cool right!
What do you have to do to get into the Gatton academy? Well first you need to be a resident in Kentucky. Then take ACT or SAT and score a 24 on math. Then you need reconditions form science and math teachers but also your community leader it can be a church leader or your neighbor it has to be someone who knows you personally. Then like any other college you will take an entry exam plus write essays. As well as an entry application with a resume. You will be able to find the application’s online. All information will need to have been sent to the Gatton academy by February 1st.
This seems easy right? Wrong! You will be competing against all of Kentucky's students. This academy only takes 61 junior and seniors. But if you set your mind to it you will succeed. For students who are 7th and 8th grades they have a while but 9th grades it will come fast. So start planning.
