BALTIMORE 000 000 000 010

NEW YORK – After last week’s one-hit triumph against the Rays, R.A. Dickey was able to one hit the Baltimore Orioles making him the first major leaguer to have two consecutive one-hitters in twenty four years.
Dickey was able to strikeout thirteen batters, beating his personal record which was set last week in Tampa. Dickey also only let up two walks and one hit. Dickey has an ERA of 2.00 and 103 strikeouts thanks to his two consecutive no-hitters. Both of those statistics are league leaders. (Dickey’s ERA is tied with Brandon Beachy’s ERA for first.
Another major happening was Ike Davis’ gland slam shot in the bottom of the sixth inning. The fifth run was scored in the bottom of the eighth when David Wright drove in Jordany Valdespin who tripled at the at bat before Wright tripled.
Dickey also finds himself on a nine game winning streak and has as a record of 11-1. If Dickey can continue on this pace of his, he can expand on his already impressive campaign for the Cy Young award. For someone who wasn’t really known outside of the Big Apple, R.A. Dickey is making quite a splash in the Majors.

MIAMI -- The NBA Finals series went to Miami after Miami narrowly was able to beat Oklahoma City in Game 2. Now, coming to South Beach, the Heat were able to overtake the Thunder in a five point game.
LeBron James captured an astounding twenty nine points and fourteen rebounds and fourteen rebounds. He also was able to hit one three and was very hot during in the paint.
LeBron’s small forward counterpart, Kevin Durant, was able to snag twenty five points himself by getting a three and countless field goals from outside the paint. Russell Westbrook was imminent, but not a star after going 1-4 for here point shots. Westbrook got nineteen points, most from just outside the paint.
The last two minutes of the game were stricken by fouls committed by Oklahoma City. In fact, five points were scored off free throws in the last ninety seconds. Ironically enough, the final deficit was five points.
The next two games are vital wins for the Thunder. Miami has the upper-hand and only needs two more wins to capture the title. Unless OKC can learn to win on the road – which isn’t easy for any NBA team – the title will become very hard to grasp.
